WHAT IS the difference between the EZ bar and Straight bar besides the easy on the wrists… why not just use the EZ bar all the time for curls???

@Total32 i think for umm.. definition, if you want to have more mucels its, more or less lower reps arround 8-10, and high weight

can this paticular curl bar handle a heavier set of weight anywhere ranging between 130 to 180 pounds?

  7. Total32 03. Mar, 2010 at 5:53 pm #

ez reduces strain on the wrist

  10. MrLau89 03. Mar, 2010 at 6:50 pm #

shame i never said anything about not working your wrists or anything. i just said it works less more of a bicep.

  11. omarespinoza 03. Mar, 2010 at 7:24 pm #

no the ez bar is better for your wrists

  12. aydoooo 03. Mar, 2010 at 7:37 pm #

    low weight high rep

nothing extrememly significant… its just easier on your wrist. most people can lift a little bit more weight on the ez curl bar. and its not for novices… professional bodybuilders incorporate ez curl bars into their routines.

  14. MrLau89 03. Mar, 2010 at 8:39 pm #

well as the name suggests ez bar makes it easier to do a curl because it’s not using the same contraction of the bicep where as straight bar your using more contraction of a muscle. So Straight bar is the best where as ez bar is for i guess novices

for outer bicep though, not inner

  16. samoabull 03. Mar, 2010 at 9:22 pm #

Ez bar combines the width and peak bicep curl into one…i think

  17. OohTheHorror 03. Mar, 2010 at 9:39 pm #

EZ curl bar is better for biceps and triceps due to the way the hands are positioned on the bar.

so hes using the ez bar here, but whats the difference between the ez and the straight bar? is one more effective then the other or is one just easier to use?

  19. muzimuzi 03. Mar, 2010 at 10:25 pm #

Ok so from what i can tell its very simple:
holding close works on inner biceps while holding wide works on the outter part right? because some1 told me its the other way around

it looks like you use mainly smaller weights… is that just for a easyer way to show us or do you actualy use that weight when your working out??

  21. xylitol333 03. Mar, 2010 at 11:28 pm #

any differences compared to using the straight bar? advantages and disadvantages to both?

Another good tip, whenever you do bicep exercises, try to alternate each week between different types of exercises, that way, you’ll be able to stress the bicep differently and maximize muscle growth. I personally do an alternating combo between EZ bar/hammer curls and Preacher curls/regular dumbbell curls.
