I did this exercise the opposite way my body facing the machine. I guess it doesn’t matter too much. I normally do 10 to 12 but 12 to 15 is ok too. I’d probably use lighter weights if you going to to around 15 though.

In a gym like that I would probably go every day after school and train for about three hours, but my local gym is packed with people all the time, so you can’t use the equipment you want and almost only the very heavy and the very light dumbbell are available, it sucks.

good video. Merlin you can get rid of moobs by targeting chest muscles it will make them look bigger because the muscle under the fat will get larger. do cardio to get rid of moobs. XD

I’m 15 ,shall i start to lift up weights, basically i’ll l; lift up a 4kg/8 pounds, single dumbbell..

  18. nochance101 04. Mar, 2010 at 7:47 am #

you want it big, then you need to work on building the weights. i started around 20 the first week, and 2 months later i’m pulling 80lbs. don’t start at high weights because you’ll injure yourself. let your muscles heal before you move up in weights. if you want it toned, then just do low weights and high reps until you get that burn. or you can do high weights and not do them as often, then you’ll get the tone. my triceps are definitely toned growing these days.

does this exercise used for toning the triceps or can it work for getting the triceps bigger?

  20. tokbomoh22 04. Mar, 2010 at 8:40 am #

haha im referring to the feeling mate.
    not the results.
    haha.

  21. MarioBrosClassic 04. Mar, 2010 at 8:47 am #

lol no one says burn those muscles…to burn when it comes to weight lifting means to lose i.e “Burn that fat”

  22. tokbomoh22 04. Mar, 2010 at 8:48 am #

this is a burning exercise for the triceps.
3 sets of 12 at maximum intensity’s gonna burn those muscles!

  23. tekneekfashion 04. Mar, 2010 at 9:15 am #

cool, do a total of only 9 sets for triceps. your triceps will recover faster and build more mass. if you do more than 9 sets you’ll overtrain them. I see guys at the gym doing 21 sets killing themselves and they wonder why they make no progress. lol

  24. Djebulba 04. Mar, 2010 at 10:00 am #

ok,i do it most exercises 3 sets 12,10,8

  25. tekneekfashion 04. Mar, 2010 at 10:43 am #

I see, try this routine: 1st exer: standing one arm dumbbell extensions 2nd exer: bench dips with a plate placed on your quads 3rd exer: rope pushdowns …. 3 sets each 12, 10, 8
